*It's genetic but there are rare cases where your chromosome could have a mutation causing EEC even if it's not in your family history.

*The most common classification of this syndrome is EEC1this is caused by a mutation in the gene TP63
*The second form of this disease is EEC3 this one is caused by the gene mutation TP737 studies show that the symptoms of this classification mainly affect the hands,feet,lips,palate,and urinary system.
