My Blackhole Backpack
Lydia Kuan
I look in my backpack, and what do I see?
A wonderful gecko looking back at me!
There’s also a forest, that goes on for miles,
And colorful hippos, that learn how to smile.
My homework is lost in the vast land,
And I search for it , and put in my hand,
I feel a giant book, as big as a cow,
My brain starts to hurt, and my teacher just scowls.
My backpack, a paradise made by me!
It’s made in my brain that no one can see.
It’s like a jungle, a river, a giant jumbo zoo!
With animals like peacocks, gorillas too!
My backpack is a zoo and
As big as a beach, mountains of white sand!
As so you can see, this land’s made by me,
So next time don’t just climb up a tree!
