During the Victorian era, Queen Victoria ruled the world's most innovated nation of its time. Technology had evolved in many ways, as railways were introduced and the invention of the first Steam Locomotive, William Murdoch had built the first prototype in 1784, but it was not until the first full scaled working steam locomotive was functioning on the 21 of February 1804, Richard Trevithick, the man behind the machine ran it through South Wales. By late the 1930s, there was an increase in railroad stations development across in England. The Atlantic Telegraph Company were behind the construction of the first transatlantic telegraph cable. The project began in 1854 and was completed in 1858. The era ended in 1901 when Victoria died at the age of 80.
