Plant adaptations

Evergreen vs. Deciduous

Evergreen trees hold their leaves all year around, meaning they do not have a leaf fall in the Autumn. But they do loose leaves at certain times of the year. Deciduous trees lose their leaves all through autumn. Deciduous trees also need more nutrients then evergreen may need. There is also coniferous trees that grow upward rather than outward. The leaves on coniferous trees are either long, pointed needles or are small, flat scales.
