Geography in the war

The North has freezing winters, and humid summers, along with infertile soil and many harbors and bays.

The South has mild winters, and very long hot summers, marshes and swamps, and inland rivers creating fertile farming soil.

Geography played a pretty large role in the health and supplies of soldiers during the war, many times these different weather conditions affected life or death for sick and wounded soldiers.
