Field Trip Pictures

This is an occurrence of chemical and physical weathering. Found in the cemetery on the field trip this grave stone has been weathered. Rust was formed from iron in the stone and the stone color has faded from years of rain.

This is an example of soil erosion from the field trip. Run off water from off the hill carried sediment and soil with it causing it to be more of a cliff.

This is an example of water erosion. The waves on the shore of the lake crash against the stone everyday. Causing it to wear down into bits.

This is plant weathering. The roots from the tree have grown against the rock. The pressure eventually broke the rock in two. The side of the tree Is grown funky because of where the rock used to be.

This is ice erosion water was I side the rock when it froze. The water expanded and the rock split to pieces.
