The legislature branch makes the laws.this branch has two parts -the state senate and the state assembly. There is 61 members of the state senate, and there is 150 members of the state assembly. Assembly members serve for two years. Anyone can suggest the idea for a law- a government can, citizens can and members of the legislature can, but only the legislature can turn the idea into a law.
