Symbol

Tortoise is a symbol of longevity. Tortoise is one of the oldest animals living on Earth and also one of the animals with the longest lifespan.

In the Japanese myth of Urashima Taro the tortoise takes him to the undersea world as a special reward for saving his life. Urashima spends 300 years in a beautiful palace thinking it has only been 3 days.

Urashima forgot his duties and responsibilities and after he opens the box he finds inside his old age and dies.
