Eagle Eye's super eyesight was a result of a change to the occipital lobe. The occipital lobe is the visual processing center of the human brain. Eagle eye's powers that resulted from this phenomena include: night vision, x-Ray vision, and sharp shooting abilities. His weakness is impaired hearing which causes occasional clumsiness and weakens the hand to hand combat capabilities.

Occipital lobe- the occipital lobe processes visual information and also is responsible for recognizing shape. Although it is the smallest of the four lobes, it can have a major impact on our lives if damaged. Damage could result in blindness, changes in visual perception, inability to orient items in the line of perception, color changes and hallucinations.
