Death of a legend

John lennon's murder

John Lennon was a European song writer/musician who was a member of the Beatles. Being in the band gained him, and the members, world wide fame. Lennon lived in an apartment building in New York named the Dakota where he was shot and killed by Mark David Chapman on December 8, 1980.
Lennon was taken to the Roosevelt Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrivals. Shortly after Lennons death hundreds of people gathered around both the hospital and the Dakota. Lennon's body was later cremated and the ashes were given to his wife Yoko Ono.
