The Constitution Becomes Law

On September 17, 1787, the representatives signed the constitution.
-Before it became law, it had to be approved(ratified) by at least nine of the states.
- New Hampshire was the ninth state to ratify the Constitution and then it became law.
-New Yorkers didn't know if they should approve the Constitution and be a part of the United States.
-They had a vote and it was close- thirty people voted for it and twenty-seven against.
-New York became the eleventh state in the United States
