The Young State

-George Clinton was the first governor of Ney Work State.
-Voters elected men to represent themselves in the government. Some representatives were farmers, bakers, lawyers, silversmiths, barrel makers, and merchants.
-In 1797, the capital moved to Albany and stayed there since.
