People had no sleep when there was an air raid. The government paid for people with minim wage to have an Anderson shelter. Some people went in the underground train station and bought food. Anderson shelters were made of corrugated steel. The government could not afforded to buy properly built Anderson shelters so the Anderson shelters were not stable.
