How the Small Intestine Works

-When food reaches the small intestines it's already broken down into a liquid.
-Most of the digestive process is carried out here, absorption of most of the nutrients into the blood stream.
-The walls of the small intestine create enzymes that work together with the enzymes from the liver and pancreas to carry out the absorption process.
