Duodenum: first section of the intestine, connects to the pyloric sphincter.
-partially digested food from stomach is mixed with bile from liver & pancreas to complete its digestion in the duodenum.

Jejunum: middle section of intestine.
-serves as the primary nutrient absorption.

Ileum: final section of the intestine.
-completes the absorption of nutrients that were missed in the Jejunum.
