How does Cellular Respiration happen in Animal Cells?
- blood cells in capillaries collect oxygen from alveoli and nutrients from small intestine
- when capillaries come in contact
with other body cells
- oxygen and nutrients defuse
out of blood cells
- once oxygen and sugar enter cell
- come in contact with the
mitochondria
- breaks down sugar and
oxygen
- release oxygen stored in
sugar
- energy saved = ATP
- use ATP to carry out cellular respiration
