1820 At age fourteen Joseph Smith had his first vision in the Sacred Grove. He was confused on which church was real , so he went to ask god in the forest. He started praying and he was overcome by darkness. Then out of the darkness Jesus and Heavenly Father appeared. And Heavenly Father said " This is my beloved son hear him ". They told him about how none of the church's were real. So he went to none of them.
