June 27 , 1844 Joseph Smith died. He was in jail when a mob of men stormed right into the jail. Really fast the mob got up the stairs and started shooting. First Hyrum ( Joseph's brother) died with a shot to the head. John Taylor got hit several times and also got shot in the pocket watch stoping it at 5:16 P.M.
