French and English missionaries

-English and French missionaries were not at successful at promoting Christianity in North America as the Spanish were in Mexico
-many of the people that occupied the lands of North America did not stay there long, so it was hard to find a way to have effective missionaries
-also, the colonists that were there were not totally interested in converting to Christianity. They didn't oppose it, but they didn't make an effort either
