Robert Hooke was born on July 28 of 1635 in Freshwater England and died March 3 of 1703 at the age of 67.
Hooke was employed by Boyle from 1655 to 1662, and in that time he demonstrated Boyle's air pumps. Hooke made the vacuum pumps later used in Boyle's gas law experiments.
Robert Hooke started out as a poor man put made it to the top as a scientist, due to his honesty and hard work.
Hooke secured a place in Christ Church of Oxford in 1653, and then became employed by Dr. Thomas Willis. Later in his time at Oxford he was also employed by Robert Boyle.
