Born in 1919 he was the only "coloured" boy in his nebrohood. as a little kid he was always good at sports. Then in 1941 he was accepted to the all American football team but had to leave collage because he could not afford it. Then eventually had to join the U.S marines then after his two years in the army he left because of racial discrimination
