Jackies Career Started in 1945 When he joined the negro baseball league and traveled all over the Midwest but only played one season. Because in 1947 The Dogers let him into the team and was the first "negro" let into the
League since 1889 when baseball became segregated. By doing this he broke the color barrier for baseball and challenged the racial barrier in both the north and south.
