Introduction

#1

Ever since the Industrial Revolution, humans have known that harnessing energy to do work for us would make previously hard and laborious jobs much easier and more efficient. This has helped us become a more advanced society by building factories, producing mass amounts of electricity, and invent things never thought possible.
However, much of this energy has been produced by fossil fuels and other nonrenewable resources. Therefore, they will someday run out and we will have to rely on different resources. When this does happen, it will be important to know what our other options are and their characteristics. In this presentation, coal and nuclear reactions will be compared and contrasted to see which is a viable option to be used in the future.
