Location:

~The Chaparral Biome is located in California, along the Mediterranean Sea and by the Southern coast of Australia.

Climate:

~ The temperature range is between 30* and 100*F.

~ Only receives about 10-17 inches of rain per year and most of it comes in the winter.

~ The Chaparral biome is very similar to the desert, because it is both hot and dry. But the Chaparral biome receives more rain fall than the desert.

~Winter: very mild and is usually about 10 °C. ~Summer: hot and dry at 40 °C.

~Fires and droughts are very common in the Chaparral biome.
