Himmler dreamed of being on the front lines. He would leave high school and begin training as an officer candidate for the army. But before his training would finish the war would be done after an armistice was signed.

He would graduate high school and attend the Technical University in Munich. He joined a German nationalist student fraternity. When he graduated in 1922 he was a fanatical völkisch nationalist and a political activist.
