Climate- Temprature: the Temperature of the ocean is usually near saltwater's freezing point of -1.8 degrees Celsius. During the ten months of winter usually the top 100-150 meters are frozen ice.

Precipitation: Most of the precipitation comes in the form of snow, it averages 7.9 to 20 inches of snow that covers the frozen ocean.

Plant Adaptations: Phytoplankton in the ocean stay near the top layer of unfrozen water to receive as much sunlight as possible.

Animal Adaptations: Animals in the Arctic Ocean usually have thick layers of blubber to protect them from the extreme cold.

Arctic Ocean

The Arctic Ocean is near the North Pole. It is located at 90 degrees North latitude and 0 degrees West longitude. It's a marine biome, but it does contain some freshwater from the melting icebergs and ice.
