Achievements

Trotsky's outstanding achievements earned him Lenin's eye. Some achievements include participating in the overthrowing of Nicholas the second and his tsarist regime, as well as transferring all available resources from the preceding tsarist white army to his newly founded Red Army. Trotsky would continue to work hand to hand with other leading Bolsheviks out of the country to avoid all direct conflict within the hotspot of the revolution. Though Trotsky seemed to be on top of the world at this point, his leader Lenin wasn't. Lenin had aged and was suffering from a bombardment of medical issues. Knowing his life was dwindling, Lenin had to make the decision on who would be his successor. This decision ended up costing Trotsky his life.
