No added fullness at the hem. They go down straight from the hip line for a very slim silhouette.

Have extra width at the hem on each side. When viewed from the front or back the silhouette resembles the letter "A."

Pleated or gathered skirts.

Very full at the hem. When held out at the sides during wearing, this style of skirt forms a half circle. When opened up and laid flat, it forms a circle.
