Treaty of Versailles effect on Germany.

Germany had to:
Take the blame for WW1.
Pay off the debts from the total cost of war.
Give up their colonies to the Allies.
Reduce to size of their army.
This treaty hurt Germany's economy severely. It did not help them in any way except that they didn't get invaded by the Allies.
Lasting effects: It kept Britain and France and other European countries at peace. Also it weakened Germany's army to a mere 10,000.
