The Siege of Boston
Ticonderoga:
-Ticonderoga was an old British fort located at the southern end of the Lake Champlain in New York.
-The artillery that Washington gained from the Continental Army was heavy guns, such as cannons, to bombard their defenses.
-Washington sent a Boston bookseller named Henry Knox to Fort Ticonderoga to round up some big guns.
British Abandon Boston:
-British abandoned Boston because they wouldn't want to risk another blood bath, so General Howe abandoned the city.
- Washington found the artillery from Fort Ticonderoga.
