Was named Speaker of the House, also was named leader in Legislature passing. Was in Congress for 48 years.

Determined and Hardworking, was in Congress for 48 years, tried to help Texas and the US the best he could under the circumstances.

Helped create the New Deal in the House of Representitives. Made a war risk insurance, and helped with WWII financial support.
