In a letter from Hiram Hill to his brother he wrote," the Missourians terrible stories about the abolitionist they say the abolitionist are driving out pro slavery families & burning their houses...I think I shall be in Kansas City tomorrow evening if nothing happens then I can tell better how things look and perhaps get something nearer the truth."
