The climate of the southern region is predominantly humid sub tropical. But there is a small spot of tropical wet and dry in southern Florida. Western part of Texas is semi arid with the south west part being arid.
Most of Texas is temperate grassland. Most coastal areas, like the Miami area and the east Texas coast is tropical grassland. The rest of Florida and parts of surrounding states are coniferous forest. Tennessee and Kentucky is deciduous forest while the southern halves of Mississippi and Alabama are mixed.
