4- Remove the plunger from both syringes and place ten leaf disks in each one. Then replace the plunger without crushing the leaf disks and push it down till it is right above where the leaves are sitting.

5- Pull 5 mL of the "With CO2" into one syringe and 5 mL of the plain water into the other. Tap the syringe until all of the disks are floating at the top of the solution.
