Treatment

There is no established medical or surgical treatment for IJO. In some cases no treatment is needed because the condition usually goes away spontaneously. However early detection of this condition is important so that steps can be taken to protect the child's spine and other bones from fracture until remission occurs. A we'll balance diet rich in calcium and vitamin D is also important. Most children with idiopathic juvenile osteoporosis experience a complete recovery of bone tissue.
