Treatment

-Reduce sunburn risk by avoiding the sun, by using sunscreen, and covering up completely with clothing while exposed to the sun
-Sunscreen should have a high sun protection factor (SPF)
-Sunglasses with UV protection may relieve light sensitivity
-Glasses are sometimes prescribed to patients in order to correct vision problems and eye positioning.
-Eye muscle surgery is also occasionally recommended to correct abnormal eye movements (nystagmus)
