A semi is a large truck that has a large trailer and it hauls something somewhere.

Alexander Winton, in Cleveland, Ohio invented the semi-truck in 1898 and sold his first manufactured semi-truck in 1899. Winton went into the business of “horseless carriages” in 1896, so today he would be known as a carmaker.

Semi

To drive a semi you would need to have a. C.D.L., C.D.L. Means Commercial Driver License
(To drive a school bus, and semi you'd need a C.D.L.)

Fun Fact: The pay isn't bad: Truckers earn a median annual wage of $37,930, which is $4,000 more than the median wage for all jobs, according to the BLS. The top 10% of truck drivers make more than $58,000 per year. So why do so many long-haul trucking jobs remain unfilled?

Most semis has a sleeper, located in the cab in the back, and if truckers get tired of driving than they can take a break and lay down in their bed or go to sleep.

Most semis has 8 cylinders or (V8) .
