Other Ranged Weapons

The Spear is a weapon consisting of a long wooden stick with a sharp, pointed, arrow like, piece of flint, stone or any other sharp material. It was used for throwing in battles. It is from Medieval Europe somewhere around where Germany is today, however, the exact date and place the spear came from is unsure.

The sling is a weapon made if a string and I small patch used to fling small, blunt items such as rocks at their enemies. Just like the Spear, it is not very well known where the Sling originated. However, it is thought that the sling was made around the same time of the Bow and Arrow.
