Things you need to know

How will my loved one look?

Your loved one may have multiple tubes and lines in place when he or she is in the ICU. There are many different types of tubes and monitors. Your loved one May have some, none, or all of the devices listed on the next screen. Most of these devices are temporary and may be removed when they are no longer needed. Ask your nurse or staff if you see anything that you don't understand, or that doesn't seem right.
