Function;

Blood flow;

During diastole blood is collected by the right atrium. Its forced into the ventricle by systole, and then when the right ventricle contracts it pushes blood through the pulmonary semilunar valve and into the pulmonary artery, which carries deoxygenated blood to the lungs.The blood then flows into the left atrium of the heart through the pulmonary vein, and then to the left ventricle. The left ventricle then forces blood through the aortic semilunar valve and out to the body.
