European exploration in the Americas

The motivation for the exploration to the Americas was highly proceeded. The Vikings discovered America before Columbus did but they did not no it. This happened in about 1000 AD. Columbus was trying to find a new trade route Spain when he came across America. Amerigo Vespucci made the first real map with America on it that is why it is called America.
