At age fifty she was still unmarried, with no children. Even up to such an age, she spread Christ's love throughout the city of Baltimore. Nearly everything she said or did glorified The Lord and showed his glory.
She began her work with the Women's Missionary Union in 1880, and refused a salary until 1906. She always wanted to show God's love, and she refused money, and gave her own to others.
