Destructive Hurricanes

A last example of something that can harm and therefore cause the extinction of sea turtles is not something man-made. Every year hundreds of hurricanes destroy the coasts all over the world, destroying sea turtle nests. Because sea turtles lay their eggs on the beaches, hurricanes greatly affect their nests. Hurricanes can suffocate,or drown the newborn hatchlings. Differently from net entanglement, and intervening food chains, hurricanes are naturally caused by much wind and huge waves. Although it does not seem right that sea turtles undergo a long migration some as far as 1,400 miles, from the feeding grounds to the nesting grounds. Hurricanes are a natural cause but are still as deadly as being tangled in a fishing net or being eaten by a unnatural predators.
