Yasuda Zaibatsu

The Yasuda zaibatsu was founded when Zenjiro Yasuda established the Third National Bank creating a zaibatsu within his family. The Yasuda zaibatsu controlled many of the largest banks of Japan.

Later Zennosuke was dethroned by Hajime Yasuda.

In 1942 Hajime announced that all Yasuda to withdraw their roles in the Zaibatsu, because he didn’t want to go in debt. After that the zaibatsu was disbanded.

Fun fact: Yoko Ono(John Lennon’s wife) is a descendent of the Yasuda Zaibatsu.

Yasuda Zenjiro

Zenjiro Yasuda was assassinated in 1921 when he refused to give money to a nationalist. His son Zennosuke Yasuda then took over the zaibatsu.
