When and Where did the Surrealist movement take place?

The Surrealist movement began in the late 1910's to the early 1920's. This movement put an end to the Dada movement.
The end of Surrealism was marked with the death of an artist named André Breton in 1966.
The Surrealism movement started in France, and later started to spread. It spread throughout Europe and finally moved into New York.
