Theme: Death is a Part of Life.

This is the scene where Mae and Tuck find out that Winnie died, and that she didn't marry Miles, and she didn't drink from the spring.

This is the scene where death first comes and tells old Hank that it is his time to die.

These two scenes connect, because they both are about accepting death coming sooner or later and also how people may try to avoid it, like old Hank telling Death to come again in the spring, or like the Tuck's not believing that Winnie had died.
