Speed is the rate at which someone or something is able to move or operate. You calculate distance divided by time. It is expressed by meters per second, kilometers per hour, and miles per second.
Example:
Jane drives at an average speed of 45 mph on a journey of 135 miles.
How long does the journey take?
To find a time, we need to divide distance by speed.
135 miles รท 45 mph = 3 hours
