The Holy Spirit in the Bible

-It all began with the conception of our lord, Jesus Christ within the virgin, Mary. This was made possible solely through the power of the Holy Spirit. Through its intervention God's only begotten son, Jesus, became man.

-The Holy Spirit made it's next appearance in the New Testament at the baptism of Jesus. Once we was bathed in the water and given up to God, the Holy Spirit descended upon him in the form of a dove. As this happened, God the Father's voice was heard proclaiming that "This is my only son, with whom I am pleased".

-Jesus makes the presence of the Holy Spirit known through on his 32 ish years on earth. He breathed it on to people to grant them the gifts of the Holy Spirit and forgive their sins.

-Even before and after the life of Jesus the Holy Spirit was at work inspiring the writers of the bible.
