“Sometimes you know in your heart you love someone, but you have to go away before your head can figure it out.”

Walk two Moons looks at themes such as the pursuit of happiness despite what friends and family think you should do, loving loved ones despite their faults, how to build trusting relationships, and all from a thirteen-year-old's perspective. Overall, I'd give this book a 7 because of the interesting, quirky characters, dramatic plot twists, and the search for resolution for adult-themed events. There is, I think, however, not a satisfactory conclusion, and there are some far-fetched plot twists that keep this a fantasy story.

“You can't keep the birds of sadness from flying over your head, but you can keep them from nesting in your hair.”

by Sharon Creech follows the story of two thirteen-year-old girls who have both suddenly lost their mothers. Maybe they had both taken their mothers for granted.

Phoebe gets a second chance.
