Women in Abolition
While women were making significant reforms I proving social conditions, the conditions for slaves worsened. A black women decided to go through the country preaching and later a arguing for abolition. At a women's right convention in 1851the same tall black women was hissed at in disapproval. Some people feared her speaking would make their own cause less popular. But she won applause with her speech that urged men to grant women their rights.
